5 Steps to a SOLID Marriage- Verick's video

advance 9.0 marriage Feb 27, 2018

Water is always H2O. But, it changes properties based on how those molecules relate to each other. You could end up with a gas, liquid, or solid... Marriage is the same way. Depending on how we interact, well... the results vary...

We love this talk- and appreciate this guy even more.

Over the past few Advances, it's become customary for Verick to give a "marriage talk." He's one of the best at living this unique relationship out- so he brings a lot to the table from the trenches of life instead of just pages he's read in a book.

(Not that books are bad, but- let's face it- somebody that lives it can speak in ways books can't, right?)

Turns out, Verick skipped Advance 9.0- because of his marriage vows. His wife needed him, so he flew across the globe (literally) the weekend of the Advance, ditching (for the weekend) the event he helped co-found. In his mind, it was a no-brainer. It was a non-decision. It was what we'd all expect him to do.

But what about that regular talk he does- the one that pops up at every Advance?

Simple... video the thing in...

The result = what you see right here.

We''ll go ahead and spoil it for you- Verick builds on the concept of water. It's always H2O. Always. There's never a time when it's not.

Just like your marriage is always you and your spouse. Always.

Water changes properties, though, based on how those molecules relate to each other.

  • Randomly move about chaotically... it becomes a gas. Still H2O, but it simply blows around like a kite in a hurricane.
  • Cling together but take the shape of the environment... it becomes a liquid. It flows. Might sound good... but it has no substance.
  • Cling together tightly... and you have some thing solid. Something firm. Something that changes other things rather than being changed...

Think about it.

Gas on a sidewalk... nothing.

Liquid on a sidewalk... it will dry...

Ice on a sidewalk... it can break the unbreakable concrete, lifting it and moving it wherever it wants to go.

Aren't we the same way in our relationships?
